'pivot' day outing: architecture and tasting
Puurs and surroundings
Inscriptions are possible until 1 September 2025.
This autumn excursion combines architecture, culture and culinary delights
At the Valke Vleug wine estate designed by architect Vincent Van Duysen, you can experience not only high-class and elegant architecture amid vineyards in autumn colours, but also the art of winemaking and tasting during the harvest season.
The creative restoration and renovation of brewery Kerel by i/o architects encourages visitors to take in not only the space, but also, over lunch, the rich flavours of the various speciality beers craft brewed here.
Naturally, projects near these two tasting spots will also be explored in more detail. Not least, Caroline Voet, with her second book on Dom Hans Van der Laans abbey Roosenberg under her arm, will display her knowledge during the tour – an inspiring work on one of the most influential projects of the twentieth century on home soil.
The day will be an ideal combination of inspiration and relaxation, a chance to enjoy autumn in all its glory, while nurturing a passion for architecture (and for the good life).
