planopli unveils a second triptych of artistic architectural adventures in Ronse, Mallorca/Menorca and Japan. They will bet on the simultaneous experience of art(s) and architect(s). The first trip will give a unique insight into the carefully designed places where art is created domestically During an exclusive day trip with lunch, five artists from different art disciplines based in Ronse and its surroundings will open their studios exceptionally and welcome you, in dialogue with the architect of their workshop. Would the creative process be influenced by the composed space?

Art and architecture have a deep connection. Both are made with the same organising principles, the same visual elements and the same involvement of the senses. Art and architecture both have meaning. They are simultaneously expressive and communicative. After all, the artist ‘forms’ an object to visually express a complex set of ideas or feelings, and the audience receives that expression. In a sense, a work of art and an architectural structure can be considered similar because they externalise human experience in an organised, aesthetically thoughtful and expressive way.

These twists of thought have led planopli, since 2024, to be ready to –alongside its portfolio of exclusive architecture tours with exceptional visits– now also outline exclusive art architecture tours with exceptional visits for dedicated audiences. The first trip uncovered unexpected and unprecedented sites in Ghent on 24 March 2024. In autumn 2025, Mallorca and Menorca will caress many an artistic heart as European destinations. Later in autumn 2025, we will travel to Japan for a second time to explore the artistic side.

The first art adventure of 2025 will pass through Ronse. In April 2025, five artists and the architects of their studios, reveal themselves. This offers a unique insight into the architectural place where art is created. It examines how context and architecture influence the creative process, in dialogue with the artists and the architects.
