David Vernet
Bordeaux Architecture Tours — founded in 2019 by David Vernet — organizes architectural tours in and around Bordeaux, for professionals as well as enlightened connoisseurs.
Trained in France, Hungary, the Netherlands and Slovenia, David Vernet founded his architectural practice in both Paris and Bordeaux(bandapar), while participating in multiple adventures around the art of building: teacher, guide for contemporary architecture, lobbying work towards European institutions, exhibition curator, author, mediator…
From 2007 to 2011, he was Head of Secretariat of the European Forum for Architectural Policies (EFAP), an international network devoted to foster and promote architecture and architectural policies among European political decision-makers (Commission, Parliament, Committee of the Regions, organizations professionals…). He organized and took part in several conferences and programs, notably on the cultural and creative industries, or the city of the future.
He has also taught at the Delft Technical University in the Netherlands, where he was the chief editor for the Routledge book Boutiques and Other Retail Spaces: The Architecture of Seduction and other articles in European professional journals (Kontrast, Čovjek i prostor, a10 …). He currently teaches in Bordeaux.
