Renaud Baeckelandt

After studying engineering-architect at the University of Ghent, Renaud moved to Paris where he worked for four years at the architecture and urban planning firm LIST. During this period, he took evening art history classes at l’école du Louvre. Recently, he swapped the French capital for Belgium. Based in Brussels, he works on a research project in the framework of the BMSTR label on architecture and care, he also works as an independent architect and as a travel curator for Planopli with a particular focus on the European territory.

Due to his genuine interest ranging from visual art to cinema, Renaud does not consider Planopli tours purely from the perspective of architectural history. He pays attention to the social, political and artistic context in which architectural and urban planning projects were created.
