Guy Mouton

Engineer-architect Guy Mouton started as an assistant lecturer at UGent in the architecture studios of the engineering architects’ training. Afterwards, he worked as a senior lecturer at the architecture faculty of the KULeuven (Sint-Lucas) and taught the structural theory course in the training of architects. This later culminated in integrated design in the design studios for final design together with professors Paul Robbrecht, Marie José Van Hee and Klaas Goris. Together with Klaas Goris, he also supervised an elective dealing with poetic structures and structural poetry. In 2016-2017, he was also briefly a guest lecturer at UCL, campus Saint-Luc, Tournai.

He gave many lectures at home and abroad and was a member of several architectural juries.
He has also built up his own design office (mouton.eu) for structural design which guarantees the co-design of many realisations such as the Havenhuis in Antwerp (Zaha Hadid Architects), the De Krook library in Ghent (RCR-arquitectes and CGH architects), the Beurs Meeting en Congresgebouw BMMC in Bruges (Eduardo Souto de Moura and Meta architects), the refurbishment of De Grote Post by architect Gaston Eysselinck in Ostend (B-architecten), the Zwin Nature Park in Knokke-Heist (CGH architects ism Gafpa) and some constructions at the Meise Botanical Garden, amongst others the entrance pavilion(NU-architectuuratelier).
